Our Story
Officially founded in 2014, Edgefield Aviation has been providing the PNW with top tier helicopter services in a multitude of industries for over a decade. In 2024-2025 Edgefield has experienced rapid growth, expanding its capabilities to public health, UAV services, LiDAR, and both Part 91 & 135 charter. Along with rapid advancements operationally, Edgefield purchased the Arrow Falcon OH-58A+ Type Certificate, maintaining and manufacturing OH-58 A+ helicopters in house. Arrow Falcon by Edgefield Manufacturing has certified three new aircraft in the first year and aims to expand this list year over year. Whether it's servicing a multi-agency Government contract, Fortune 500 private company, or 5 acre family farm, Edgefield has and will continue to provide our customers with top notch service year after year. We are the self proclaimed "Biggest little company" in this sector, with the equipment to get the job done reliably, and the personnel to maintain spectacular relationships. Owner/Operator
Doug Davidson
Doug's first company and passion, Edgefield Homes, started in 1996 and with hard work and dedication continues to be a very successful development and custom home building company. In addition, for decades Doug has owned and operated a highly regarded logging operation and provided top notch timber management and forestry services to his local community year after year. In 2013 Doug started Edgefield Aviation with one aircraft, and the company has grown exponentially year after year. Doug is a commercial rated rotorcraft pilot and periodically assists in flying to help our crews get the job done! Doug continues to dedicate himself to providing personal attention to his local community and customers.

Kacy Davidson
Kacy began her career in the building permit department , which lento her successfully being able to assist Doug in their construction development company as well as becoming a licensed real estate broker in the area. While being a parent to their three children takes much of Kacy's time, she has grown to love the aviation industry and is glad to be able to assist in all areas possible.
Chief Pilot
David Mcdaniel
Dave brings decades of dedicated rotorcraft experience to the Edgefield team as he steps in to the Chief Pilot role. With 37 years as a commercial pilot and 32 years as a licensed applicator, Dave is extremely versed in the industry. His career experience started with three years as an Army helicopter mechanic and five years flying helicopters for the Army. An 8 category pesticide applicator and licensed consultant with over 23,000 hours of flight time with diverse flying, including: Combat, Logging, Aerial Application, Power-line Maintenance, Lidar, Patrol and Inspection makes Dave a perfect fit for the wide range of work he will be overseeing here at Edgefield.

Ryan Cartmill
As a 22 year veteran of the helicopter industry, Ryan has accumulated over 6,000 hours of flight time in a dozen different airframes performing a variety of flight operations. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Edgefield Aviation team.
VP of Operations
Jeff Juker
Jeff brings years of experience in the agricultural aviation industry to the table. He has been involved with Edgefield since 2017, starting as a fuel truck driver and working through every aspect along the way. He handles not only our operational mechanisms, but helps to deal with regulation upkeep and compliance, spearheading new business initiatives such as our manufacturing division and UAV division, maintenance support, and customer relations/ sales. You will often find Jeff running ground equipment in the field, supporting and directing missions for our pilots.

Ryan Huff
With over seven years of experience working on the Bell 206 airframe, Ryan makes a spectacular addition to the team. He is well versed in 135 ops and his detail oriented outlook continues to help us have one of the cleanest 137 hanagrs around.
Lead Fabricator
Kyle Chase
Kyle was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Though he had an avid love for hunting and football, he thrived in metal shop during his high school years. After School in 2014, he began his full-time career in the fabrication world. His skills and knowledge have been pulled in many avenues over his 13 year career, but he found his true passion is working in the aviation field over the past 9 years. His knowledge and history working with the specific accessories utilized in agricultural spraying, fertilizing, and herbicide application allows him to think quickly and critically to ensure the job gets done efficiently and effectively for any situation at hand.
Line Pilot
Ross Barnes
Ross is a 6000+ hour rotorcraft agricultural specialist pilot. With extensive experience in numerous application mediums, including restoration seeding and cover crop seeding with both buckets and sidecaster systems on Bell OH-58’s, extensive fungicide, insecticide, and herbicide spraying experience. Ross has the know how to get the job done correctly and efficiently. Ross has applied in over 20 states in many types of terrain, and is currently licensed to do so in 10 States.
Line Pilot
Clay Clark
Clay is a 10,000+ hour pilot well versed in agriculture, forestry, firefighting and precision long line work. His extensive experience in the industry makes Clay a great addition to the team. Clay spends his free time building the Clark Industries Aerial Grapple saw when he is not flying helicopters.
Line Pilot
Fulvio Capitanio
After receiving his initial pilot certificates in Southern California, Fulvio provided primary and advanced flight instruction with several outfits, until eventually achieving the role of Chief Flight Instructor at a Part 141 flight school. He has also been employed as a company instructor for a Part 135 operator in the AS350, AS355 and A109 airframes. His experience includes Electronic News Gathering, firefighting, HAA, aerial filming, support to mineral exploration, aerial saw; with some of those jobs in remote areas such as northern Alaska and Mexico. He holds a Rotorcraft Helicopter ATP and a CFI/CFII with gold seal.
